The psychology logo represents the profession of psychology and is internationally known and recognised. It originated in Greece at the time of Aristotle (384 to 322 B.C.). It was Aristotle who is credited with writing what many people consider to be the first psychology textbook. It was entitled “Peri Psyches” meaning “On the Soul”. The psychology logo uses the Greek letter for “ps” as this is the first letter of the Greek word for psychology.
